Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Hookline ("Hookline," "we," "us") for using hookline.studio and everything on it. By making an account or using Hookline, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Hookline.
Who can use Hookline
You must be at least 18 and able to agree to a contract. If you use Hookline for a business, you agree to these terms for that business too. Keep your sign-in safe; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
What Hookline does
Hookline finds what is rising online, uses AI to write scripts and plan content, and makes videos, carousels and posts. It can post to accounts you connect, as automatically as you choose. AI makes mistakes: check what it makes before you publish it, especially facts, numbers and claims about products.
Your accounts and keys
Some features use outside services, like AI models, voice and video tools, or social platforms. You connect these with your own accounts or keys, and you pay those services directly. Their own terms apply to that use. We aren't responsible for their prices, outages or decisions, like a platform removing a post.
Your content
- You own what you upload and what Hookline makes for you, as far as the law allows. AI-made work may not be protected by copyright in every country.
- You give us permission to store, process and show your content only as needed to run Hookline for you, including sending it to the services you connected.
- You promise you have the rights to what you upload or ask us to use, including clips, music, photos, voices and anyone's likeness.
- When you post, you're the publisher. Follow each platform's rules, including their rules on labeling AI-made content and ads.
Things you can't do
- Pretend to be a real person, or make content using a real person's face or voice without their permission.
- Make anything sexual involving minors, sexual acts, hate aimed at a group, harassment, or threats.
- Make scams, fake reviews or testimonials, fake urgency, promises of guaranteed results, or misleading health, money or election claims.
- Clone a voice that isn't yours, or one you don't have written permission to use.
- Break the law, break a platform's rules, or infringe anyone's copyright or trademark.
- Hack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer Hookline, or get around its limits or safety checks.
- Resell or share access to Hookline without our written OK.
Hookline runs safety checks and adds disclosure labels (like "AI creator · Ad") to some content. Don't remove or hide them. We may refuse to make, or remove, content that breaks these rules.
YouTube
Hookline uses YouTube API Services. By using Hookline, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle YouTube and Google data.
Plans and payments
Hookline is free for now. If we add paid plans later, we'll show the price and what's included before you pay, and you'll be able to cancel any time. Limits on the free plan (like videos or crew runs a month) may change as the product grows.
Ending your account
You can stop using Hookline and ask us to delete your account any time by emailing support@hookline.studio. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we close Hookline entirely, we'll give you notice and time to download your work.
No guarantees
Hookline is provided "as is" and "as available." We can't promise it will always work, be error free, or that your content will get any number of views or sales. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't make any warranties, including that it fits a particular purpose.
Limits on what we owe
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hookline isn't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, like lost profits, lost data or harm to your reputation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
If someone makes a claim
If someone makes a legal claim against us because of content you made or posted, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users before it takes effect. Using Hookline after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to sort it out. Any court case will be in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless your local law gives you the right to bring it where you live.
